Insurer RSA has extended its suite of products to include cyber solutions for large and multinational businesses to protect against the threat of cyber security breaches.

A development of the existing cyber product for small- and medium-sized entities, the new RSA offering provides comprehensive cover, assistance with risk assessment provision and management of all the post-event services that a company needs when a cyber event happens.

Cyber protection from RSA also includes the option of a cyber risk assessment to help identify and reduce potential cyber risks. Supported by Deloitte, the risk assessment enables companies to gain insight into their cyber security posture or preparedness.

A 24-hour incident response service delivered in partnership with Crawford & Company ensures companies have immediate support when a cyber incident occurs. The crisis response service enables management of cyber events and provides IT forensic investigations, regulatory and data subject notification, legal advice, and reputational and PR management, as part of a full suite of responsive services.

Nigel Pearson, group cyber director at RSA, commented: “Our cyber offering delivers comprehensive cyber protection for large companies in response to the clear growth in demand for comprehensive solutions that protect their assets, reputations and balance sheets when the worst happens.”

Andrea Garcia-Beltran, UK and international cyber underwriting manager at RSA, added: “High-quality cyber hygiene is absolutely essential for any business and can reduce the likelihood of a cyber event. Good risk management including pre- and post-incident services supported by a comprehensive cyber insurance policy is essential in today’s rapidly evolving landscape.”

Commenting on the risk assessment service that Deloitte will offer through RSA, Andrew Johnson, cyber partner at the audit firm, said: “Delivering a robust risk assessment to commercial customers in collaboration with RSA ensures their customers can take measures to minimise the risks they face and avoid costly claims arising from cyber breaches. Deloitte provides world leading cyber consultancy services and helps successful businesses all over the world deal with, respond to, and recover from cyber crises.”

Paul Handy, head of cyber and technology risks at Crawford & Company, which is also working with RSA on the new cyber offering, said: “Working with our longstanding partner to deliver a 24/7 incident response service ensures that customers are fully supported in the event of an actual or suspected cyber breach. We know that dealing with incidents quickly is a key part of helping businesses recover and get back on their feet.”
