The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has awarded chartered insurance status to the Chubb UK and Ireland claims team.
Chartered status allows all members of Chubb’s UK and Ireland claims team access to the CII’s technical, market and regulatory research. They also have the opportunity to develop their careers through its specialist qualifications.
John Latter, UK and Ireland claims director at Chubb, said: “I am delighted that the Chubb UK&I claims team has been awarded chartered insurer status by the Chartered Insurance Institute. This is a tremendous achievement and demonstrates the commitment we have to investing in our people.”
Latter added: “It also shows the importance we place on the value of professionalism and providing the highest possible levels of service for our customers at all times.”
Keith Richards, managing director of engagement at the CII, said of the award: “We are delighted to award Chubb corporate chartered status for the whole of its claims operations across the UK and Ireland.”
“By becoming Chartered, Chubb has demonstrated its commitment to the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of its customers, partners and employees. This is no mean feat for an organisation of this scale and both Chubb and its employees can be proud of its achievement.”
In February, the UK claims function at general insurer RSA was awarded chartered status by the CII.
The institute also appointed claims expert Jonathan Clark as its new president last month.
Clark is global head of claims for business solutions at SCOR. He took over from Dame Inga Beale, who recently confirmed she would step down as chief executive of Lloyd’s of London next year.
