Global loss adjuster McLarens has recruited Kim Alcock to lead its UK casualty and third-party administration (TPA) operations.
Alcock (pictured) will work alongside David Fillingham, who will continue to take technical lead for UK casualty. She will also work with Alan Browne, who heads up the Irish casualty business, and with the broader UK and Ireland business around TPA processes.
As well as being a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters, an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and an associate of the Institute of Leadership & Management in commercial law, Alcock brings significant expertise to McLarens, drawn from 25 years of cross-class experience, including senior management roles with GABR and Davies Group.
David Walker, executive director of the UK and Ireland at McLarens, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Kim to McLarens and I have no doubt that her knowledge and experience will complement perfectly the expertise we have in our casualty practice. It is also further evidence of our growing market presence and positions us well, ahead of a number of exciting opportunities in 2020.”
It has been a busy start to 2020 for McLarens, with several appointments being made at the global loss adjuster.
The loss adjuster strengthened its London natural resources team last month with the appointment of senior adjusters Miles Wakefield and Mark Macdonald.
Wakefield joined as head of renewables and Macdonald as head of upstream. The London natural resources team at McLarens handles an international book of business emanating from the Lloyd’s and London markets.
McLarens also boosted its loss adjusting expertise in construction and engineering with the appointment of a team of specialists from Advanta.
